Drink Your Medicine
Besides being a powerful adaptogenic, or system balancing herb, Red Clover is a source of many nutrients including calcium, chromium, magnesium, niacin, phosphorus, potassium, thiamine, and vitamin C. Red clover also contains isoflavones (chemicals that act like estrogens and are found in many plants). This tea can be consumed as a daily treat to calm the spirit and heal the body!
Red Clover Tea
1 C. Red Clover Blossoms
1/4 C. Lemon Balm
2 T. Spearmint or Peppermint
6 cups water
honey or fresh stevia leaves to sweeten
Bring water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Add unsprayed dried herbs (add stevia leaves here if using). Remove from heat and steep for about 10-15 minutes. Add sweetner. May be consumed hot or as an iced tea.
